Vintage 'Bird chair' designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll in the 1950s. Featuring a eye catching welded wire frame on a sled base with padded yellow cover, this chair is actually a fantastic rocking chair with the flexibility provided by heavy duty rubber shockmounts placed between the seat and base. Excellent head support from the bird neck and wide armrests make this an exceedingly comfortable chair. Wire frame is in good shape with age typical paint loss. Several weld repairs have been made along the front edge to maintian structural integrity. These are all concealed by the seat cover which is newer and custom made in 2020.
