A rare walnut framed armchair with cane back designed by Paul McCobb and made by Directional Furniture in the late 1950s. A very interesting chair with both Danish and Shaker characteristics - with its combination of walnut and cane, swooping seat back, subtly cupped arms and quality joinery this chair has it all. Arms have been lightly refinished but the majority of the frame retains its original finish. Cane is newly replaced. Frame is solid anc seat cushion has new foam and fabric. Very comfortable and great to look at.
