Iconic modernist desk by George Nelson for his first collection for Herman Miller in 1946. When model 4658 debuted it was lauded as a refreshing approach to a workspace. With everything within arms reach, an expandable desk surface for a typewriter (that could be stored in the 'well',) ample cubbies for a variety of paraphernalia and an easy-to-clean open structure this desk is a joy to work at.
 
All original leather wrapped desk top and sliding doors are in good condition showing the time earned patina of a well used desk. Structurally sound and showing only occasional wear to the combed oak veneered surfaces and light oxidation to the legs. Original pendaflex hanging file basket and storage trays all present.
