George Nelson’s dynamic modern take on the home desk was designed in 1946 and produced by Herman Miller for the first collection under Nelson’s helm. Featuring walnut case work, a satin finish steel frame and leather top this piece has the perfect combination of materials and form. 
An ample desk top is augmented with a fold out typewriter shelf from a storage well to the left and a variety of cubbies in the floating storage section above. This desk has been refinished and recovered in onyx leatherette making it ready for enjoyment for another 60 years.
