Steel Beam MCM Wonder in Springfield, OH - 2,331 sqft. ($225,000)
Perhaps one of the coolest homes we've featured on our weekly real estate roundup, this 1966 gem designed by Gene Little is not to be missed. Fantastic steel framing, an abundance of windows, a courtyard, carport and an awesome kitchen stand out right away. Overlooking a stream on a .77 acre lot, this is a little slice of mid century modern heaven. If this isn't snapped up very quickly we'll be shocked!

Norman Carver Cottage in South Haven, MI - 1,496 sqft. ($1,495,000)
Beautiful 1978 cottage right on Lake Michigan with amazing views and beach access. Designed by the architect of our own house, Kalamazoo architect Norman F. Carver Jr, this is a real treasure that could be lost to development as it sits on a large lot with a stunning view. Great expressed structure throughout: Beams, clerestories, walls of glass, sunken conversation pit, built-ins , shoji screens in bedrooms and multiple decks. Check. It. Out.

1958 Post and Beam in Dallas, TX - 1,766 sqft. ($358,900)
Eichler-esque 1958 ranch with walls of windows and a great open plan. Love the private front facade with carport and small entry courtyard that opens onto the expansive living room. While I'm no fan of white washing, this reno has left enough natural materials that the right furniture will add that much needed splash of color and variety to it.

Mid Century Modern in Midland, MI - 3,332 sqft. ($390,000)
I'm a big fan of Midland architect/builder Red Warner's homes and this 1959 beauty is no exception. The rooms flow into each other effortlessly, a range of ceiling heights and roof types provide variation and there's always plenty of light. The kitchen and bathrooms are also superb in this mid-century modern home currently for sale.

Architectural Magic in Pleasantville, NY - 2,592 sqft. ($1,590,000)
A real stunner here, designed by architects Paul Shweikher and Winston Elting for the Lew family in 1951 in Frank Lloyd Wright's Pleasantville community. Not much to say about this one except: Feast your eyes on the photos! This is a truly incredible mid-century modern house.
